Pubali Bank PLC donates Tk.50 (Fifty) Lakhs to ‘Proyash’

Pubali Bank PlC has donated 50 (fifty) lakhs as a grant to the specialized educational institution for special needs children 'Proyash' under the patronage of Bangladesh Army as part of its social responsibility. Mohammad Ali, Managing Director & CEO of Pubali Bank formally handed over the donation cheque to General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed, SBP (BAR), OSP, ndu, psc, PhD; Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army and the main patron of 'Proyash'. Md. Faizul Hoque Sharif, General Manager of General Banking and Operation Division of Pubali Bank was present on this occasion.
Under the auspices of the Bangladesh Army, 'Proyash' has been conducting multifaceted service activities and education systems since 18 July 2006 with the aim of improving the well-being and overall development of children with special needs.

As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) Pubali Bank PLC gifted a microbus to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute. Mohammad Ali, Managing Director & CEO of Pubali Bank Limited handed over the key to Professor Dr. A K Azad Khan, President of Bangladesh Diabetic Samity. Professor Mahmudur Rahman, Chairman, Board of Management, Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute presided over.
Md. Kamruzzaman, General Manager and RM of Dhaka Central Region of Pubali Bank and Md. Sayeef Uddin, Secretary General of Bangladesh Diabetic Samity were also present.
In his speech Mohammad Ali said, Pubali Bank is not only a profit oriented organization; apart from this, it continues to contribute to healthcare as part of its social responsibility. In continuation of this, Pubali Bank gifted a microbus to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute. He further said that this gift will serve as a symbol of friendship and mutual cooperation between the two organizations in the days to come.

Pubali Bank PLC has donated blankets to the Honourable Prime Minister’s Relief Fund as a part of corporate social responsibility to distribute among the cold-hit poor people of the country. Monzurur Rahman, Honourable Chairman, Board of Directors of Pubali Bank PLC handed over the blankets to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban in the capital. Mohammad Ali, Managing Director & CEO of Pubali Bank PLC was also present.

As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Pubali Bank Ltd. donated an Ambulance to BIRDEM General Hospital. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pubali Bank Limited and BIRDEM General Hospital was signed before the donation program. Under this MoU, Pubali Bank Limited Employees will avail 20% discount on service charge from`Executive health check center’ and 30% discount facility on medical service from BIRDEM General Hospital.
