Features and Benefits
  • Based on Mudarabah Principle of Islamic Shari'ah.
  • No maturity date. Account holder can continue as long as he/she wishes.
  • Initial deposit is Tk.10,00,000.00.
  • Option of deposit as many times as desire after deposit of Tk.10.00 lac.
  • Profit @ 6 Months MTDR rate plus 1% p.a. on daily product basis.
  • Profit withdrawal facility after the following month of A/C opening.
  • Full withdrawal is allowed after 1 year of opening.
  • Cheque Book available.
  • Debit Card available.
  • Multiple Account in the same name is allowed.
  • Withdrawal facility up to 80% of present encashment value.
  • Pre-matured encashment is allowed.
  • Online transaction is allowed.
  • Customers can open account through e-KYC on PI Banking (self check in).
  • Transaction notification through SMS.
  • Joint Account not allowed.

    • Eligibility
  • Any Bangladeshi aged 59 years and above; but people having dual citizenship not eligible.

    • Income Distribution Method
  • Income is distributed between the Bank (Mudarib) and the Depositor (Rab al-Maal) as per Weightage Average Method.

    • Requirements
  • Photocopy of NID/Passport/Driving License/Certificate of Employer/Certificate of dignitaries.
  • Two copies of recent passport size photograph duly attested by the introducer.
  • One copy of recent passport size photograph of the nominee duly attested by the A/C holder.
